Good Training Beta 2 Begins
Well, it's been about a month since we launched the GoodTraining.com public beta and things have went better than we could have expected. From a technical standpoint we were up and running 100% - no downtime or service interruptions! Not bad considering we're using a new web framework we put in place for this site Kudos to Jason Buss and Ryan Farley, the the technical and design brains behind the web site. We have 30+ members and have yet to do any real promotion or press releases. That'll start in the next week or so, and if past experience repeats, things will take off nicely from there.
Trainer Extraordinaire Dale is answering the questions of the members brave enough to be the first to participate in the Good Answers forums. No need to be shy, seriously! Dale has been training users in SalesLogix for 10 years, literally many thousands, and loves sharing knowledge. I think it's because he really does cares about people and is passionate about helping them become the best they can be.
Brianna, the resident blogger and Good Workshops manager, is working hard to keep you updated on what's going on at Good Training, setting up online workshops, and creating our upcoming On Demand video workshops (coming in Beta 3). Although just 2 years out of Hamline University, she's been in the SalesLogix world for almost 10 years, starting out as an intern doing database maintenance for our parent company.
So, what's coming in Beta 2 you ask? Well, most of the heavy lifting has been taken care, but we have some things in mind to make the site easier to navigate and use. Things like updating the home page to display more of what's going on in your community, making the blogs easier to navigate with quick links, categories and such, but the two big things over the next month will be the launch of our online workshops, conducted by Dale, and streaming video workshops. We conducted a dry run of an online workshop on Friday, and things went well as far as our presentation platform went, but we had a glitch with our conference call provider. We'll give them another shot, before looking for an alternative.
That's about it for now. Thanks for visiting, and if you're a member thanks for helping us as we build the best online resource for SalesLogix users. If you have any feedback or suggestions please let us know by visiting the Contact area - this is your community and we'll do our best to make it a great place to find Good Answers to Good Questions.
Thanks,
