Just added today!
Sage has recently updated and made available white papers for SalesLogix v7.5.2. I have just added the SalesLogix v7.5.2 Client Feature Comparison chart to Good Content, and I think you will find this helpful in determining what you can and can't do in the Windows, Web, and Mobile clients. New from Sage.
Sage just released an upgrade comparison chart for the newest version of SalesLogix - v7.5.2. This chart will outline the main difference between v6.2 to v7.5.2, and will be helpful for those of you that may be upgrading when the latest Service Pack is released. The latest and greatest from Sage.
I have just uploaded the most recent Visual Analyzer product brief from Sage to Good Content. If you aren't familiar with this add-on for SalesLogix you should give it a glance, in three pages you can find out about the main features and take a look at some screenshots. More Good Content added.
I've added another file to Good Content, this time it is a PowerPoint presentation of SalesLogix Mobile v5.5 from Sage. I like this presentation because it does a nice job of calling out the new features and the direction that Sage took Mobile v5.5. There are also many screenshots, and who doesn't like screenshots? Released April 2009.
Recently Sage released an updated version of their SalesLogix Mobile CRM white paper, and I have posted it to Good Content. This white paper covers topics such as general Mobile CRM, 7 key considerations when implementing mobile CRM, and SalesLogix Mobile specifically. Updated to reflect changes.
I have added a SalesLogix v7.5.1 upgrade comparison sheet to Good Content. This sheet has been updated by Sage to reflect the changes that will be in v7.5.1 and should serve as a nice outline for those of you who may be upgrading from v6.2, v7.0, or v7.2 Windows or Web client. Next release is right around the corner...
I just received word that SalesLogix v7.5.1 will go into Gold Release tomorrow, February 19, and will be released to customers soon after. I will also be on a business partner call regarding this release tomorrow, if I pick up any interesting information I will be sure to share. In the mean time, I have posted a SalesLogix v7.5.1 feature comparison sheet to Good Content that has the functionality for Windows, Web, and Mobile. You can read it here...

Mobile CRM
Today I have added a new white paper to the Good Content section of Good Training, "Mobile CRM". This white paper was recently published by Sage Software and describes the benefits mobile CRM can bring to a company.
There has been some discussion on the The SalesLogix User Group forum about SalesLogix Mobile, in particular some frustration with customization. Good Training is not meant to be a place for customization help but if you have any information to offer don't hesitate to post a response.

Good Content Added.
I have added a tour of v7.5 to Good Content. This tutorial was created by Sage Software and provides a nice overview of the new features and improvements. The technology that puts Visual Analyzer ahead of the pack.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, SalesLogix Visual Analyzer is a Business Intelligent tool that boasts 10 pre-built dashboards that report on important metrics as well as being customizable. Visual Analyzer is a great Business Intelligent tool but it is not the only tool available. So why would you choose Visual Analyzer over the alternatives? One reason is for the technology. I added a .PDF created by Sage Software to the Good Content area of Good Training entitled, "Sage SalesLogix Visual Analyzer Core Components and Benefits." The 1st Workshop in the New Format.
After much trial and error I'm excited to say we are now ready to begin offering our On Demand Workshops in a new format! Our first On Demand Workshop in the new format is Merging Records for SalesLogix v6.2 and Above. I have to say that this Workshop is beautiful - clean, visually appealing, and has much better sound quality. Dale Richter did a great job putting this one together and we are going to continue converting all of our On Demand offerings to the new style. A New On Demand Workshop Has Been Posted!
On Monday October 1st Good Training hosted a Workshop "Creating a New Lead and Converting Leads to Contacts for SalesLogix v7.0", presented by Dale Richter - some of you may know him from Ask Dale. Leads was a new feature that was introduced in SalesLogix v7.0 and is also available in v7.2. So what good is a feature that you don't know how to use? With many SalesLogix users unfamiliar with Leads, we thought it was important to provide a Workshop that would walk Good Training members through using this new feature to improve the user experience. Everyone has busy schedules and we know it may not be possible to attend live Workshops, so check it out On Demand.

Improved Downloading
Many Good Training members know about the On Demand Workshops that we have available. Some of you may have also run into troubles downloading and viewing these On Demand Workshops due to the version of Microsoft Media Player you have on your computer or missing components needed to run the recordings. Recently we have overhauled our On Demand Workshops so that you will no longer have an issue downloading Workshops. If you experienced troubles in the past give it a shot now. Use Global Replace
Are you familiar with using the Global Replace feature of SalesLogix? Global Replace can make updating your records fast and easy and can be a great tool when you're tasked with updating fields for a large number of records. Today Good Training hosted the Workshop "Using Global Replace to Update Records" which walked through a simple update to a large number of contact records. Automatic Instead of Manual!
Contact Processes are a seldom used but powerful feature of SalesLogix. When set up correctly, Contact Processes can make life easier for the end user. Would you like life to be a bit easier? Key features of Contact Processes include:
- Standardize and automate key elements of regular customer contact processes
- Automate scheduling of follow-up activities such as mailings and phone calls
- Add decision points and conditional requirements before events are triggered
- Assign custom processes — such as 'Trade Show Lead' — to unique prospect groups
