It is much easier to keep an existing customer then to go and find a new one. What are you doing, if anything, to ensure that your current customers don't jump ship? If you are not making the retention of your current customer base a top priority you could be headed for some trouble, but it is not too late! I was reading an article on the CRM Magazine website about the importance of protecting your customer base, and they offered some great strategies to try to keep your customer from turning to a competitor.
"First, reassess your relationship with your major accounts and determine how likely they are to change suppliers in the near future. The second critical step is to develop strategies to shore up your defenses and reduce the risk of losing customers to predatory competitors."
