Why brevity can be an important part of sales.
Today I read an article published by Business Week with which I whole heartedly agree - keep your sales pitch concise and to the point, no matter what mode you are using to relay your message. I dislike long winded pitches that don't get to the point, especially when you are in the beginning phase of a sale. It can be a big turn off.
"Remember, sales prospects don't normally have the time to listen to your life story. You need to state your case and move on. If they're interested in learning more, they'll let you know."
The article offers advice for selling via blogs, emails, presentations, and at events. If you are interested read, "Sell More by Saying Less".
