SalesLogix v7.5.2 and SalesLogix v8.0

What to expect and when...

Today I attended a Sage Business Partner call which focused on the future of SalesLogix, namely the next 2 releases - SalesLogix v7.5.2 and SalesLogix v8.0.  Sage put somewhat of a gag order on the BP audience but I think I can share a few tidbits without getting in trouble:

  • They plan to add more compatible mobile devices for SalesLogix Mobile CRM.  You should see compatibility with the iPhone in v7.5.2.
  • The ability to link with social networking sites such as Twitter is a definite feature in the future.
  • You will see an improvement in the Web team calendar in v7.5.2, as well as simplified upgrades.
  • Sage is committed to adding BI Technology in future versions, an example being Interactive Reports.
  • SalesLogix v7.5.2 should be available by Fall 2009.
  • SalesLogix v8.0 should be available by Winter 2010, Q2.

I am happy to say I love my job! Everyday there is a new challenge and something new to learn, it keeps things interesting. I was very happy when we started Good Training because it gave me an opportunity to help people and share knowledge. Outside of the office I enjoy being active. When weather permits you may catch me riding my bike around the lakes of Minneapolis or hiking in Northern Minnesota. In the winter I get out snowboarding as much as possible and I always try to take a trip to the mountains. I made it out to Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT at the end of February 2008 and it was a fantastic time! Year round I participate in dance and yoga classes to mix things up. I love watching movies and you could say I may have seen too many. :) I also have a passion for reading - if I find a good book it can consume all of my free time.
