Lead Distribution to multiple users (Prospecting Calls)

I am brand new with a company and first time SLX user. I have used other custom CRM's before. I am trying to find a way to assign leads to sales reps and track call progress. I can create a group containing the leads, but the assignment process is not reaching my objective. It seems I either assign all leads to all users in my team, or one by one assign leads to each user independently. An old system I used before would allow me to see all the leads and scoop groups and send them to each user, I could then pull back and re-distribute them.

If it was just a handfull at a time, I could do this, but I am going to be distributing about 100 new leads each daily to 20 reps, then pull back any that no contact has been made with and repeat the process. These are all prospecting cold calls to businesses.

Any ideas would be great, I want to avoid using a different system, then pushing data into SLX for the actual sales process. I have played around with campaigns, groups, and user/team assignments, but just can't find what I am looking for.

     Thanks

    Travis

Re: Lead Distribution to multiple users (Prospecting Calls)

    Good Afternoon Travis,

In the Leads list view....you can highlight the leads that you want to change owners for and right click.

Choose "Assign Owner to Selected Records", you can then choose the user you would like to assign them to.

    Pulling them back again....

You can use the last call date field to build your group of contacts that have not been called in a period of time.

Using the same method as above....once you have built your group, you can highlight and reassign ownership.

    I hope this helps

    Thank you.

I found that I could do it that way, but I will be assigning upwards of 10,000 records a month. Is there a way to automate the process vs. highlighting the names individually. Possibly I could create a macro...

Re: Lead Distribution to multiple users (Prospecting Calls)

I have been working with my tech solutions company to figure this problem out. They have said we have a hole in SLX, but I thought I would see if anyone knows how to solve a couple problems. Is there a way to mass assign account manager vs Owner. We are having the department own the lead, and distribute to account managers. The problem is to assign to AM's you must click each record individualy which is extremely time consuming when moving 100+ records each for 20+ AM's. I have tried a macro and while it saves my wrist and fingers, It takes the same amount of time.

    Any thoughts....

Re: Lead Distribution to multiple users (Prospecting Calls)

Do you have any standard rules that go with this - frankly, I would have my BP write a piece of code that runs through the group/grid and makes the assignment. Or, modify the grid to support the actions you need. Either way, it's not going to be solved by standard "out of the box" stuff as it was clearly not designed for this many leads to be moved in one go !

Thanks, I will go to my guy about this. We have an external system that can do it but we would prefer one system.

    Thanks for your help.

Re: Lead Distribution to multiple users (Prospecting Calls)

As this now made it to the front page, I thought I would mention that our tech partners have yet to find a solution for this. We are having them in Thursday to attempt solutions.

I will post my findings, but could still use any ideas.

    Thanks
