We are currently running into a issue where we are wanting to merge many accounts. This is because we have imported many databases and we are in clean-up mode. The issue is when merge accounts it really stresses our sync server out.
I have done some base line tests and the results are:
· merge 10 accounts takes the sync server 30 minutes to do a complete sync.
Granted, we have ~80 remote users. We have a brand new server. Where I have seen the bottleneck is that the sync server creates many little files in the “writecache” folder. Once it creates these files it seems to move fairly well past that.
What you think of our issue?
I have you seen or heard of this before?
Is there anything we can do to tweak this?
Do you think there is a problem with our servers based on this behavior?
I have consulted with senior level techs at SLX and they were telling me that is good as it gets.
