Send an email from the account manager using a Contact Process

A sales support person is entering leads and scheduling a process for each one that includes an email message being sent out. When creating the process, is there a way to make sure the email's "From" line is the account manager of the contact, and NOT the sales support person who is scheduling the process?

    Hi

I also wanted to do something like this and came up with this workaround.  You essentially write the steps in multiple parallel processes following an ESP criteria which check to see who the Account Manager is.  Then when you go to the next step for send email you can select the "Pick User" and list the person you've selected based on the ESP criteria.

It's certainly not the best method, but it works for us.  Of course if you have many Account Managers or the turnover of Account Managers is frequent, this would be a very cumbersome process to maintain.  Also depending on how long or complicated your process is, it is also a bit repeatitive to set up. And of course SalesLogix will enter a notes/history about this step in the process which adds meaningless clutter.

It would be really nice if the "Author" options would include "Account Manager".  It seems to be a very logical option to offer and it's too bad it's not included.
