    List View Lookup

Well, I have discovered something new today. Did you know that you could look up records from the List View. I have seen many of you trying to scroll through the list to find someone. That's not exactly what I am talking about.

Now you Click on the column heading that you would like to sort by. Once sorted, you can immediately start typing the value that you are looking for in that column. For example, if you click on the column heading "State", once it sorts you can type "MN" (don't worry about where you mouse is, just type), the highlight line will go to the first record that contains MN as the state. Try it out, it is pretty cool.

NiceCool.  Can't believe I didn't know this (not that I'm a power user or anything).  Is that in the SalesLogix training manual?

    Re: List View Lookup

    Good Morning Jim,

No, that is not in the training Manual. It is something I found by accident. In earlier versions you could type the first letter and get close. But, now you are able to type the enter piece of data.

Hopefully, I can continue to throw a surprise out here once in awhile. Smile

Have a great day! Thanks for the post.

    Re: List View Lookup

It was added based on user feedback as it was "lost" during the upgrade to v7.x ! Also, if you notice quickly enough, what you type is added to the column heading e.g. if you type "mn" the column heading displays that until it finds the 1st record.
