    User Access Settings

    Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

    I have a user from our production department who will be entering information into a Ticket. Since the user will only be accessing the Ticket window (specifically the description field of the Ticket Details tab) I would like to limit this users access to revise other entities such as the Account details. I have set the user’s profile to start in the Ticket details when starting SalesLogix since this limits the possibility of error, but just to be safe I would like to check and see if there are any ways to further limit this users access.

    Thanks in advance for the ideas!

    Re: User Access Settings

    Good Afternoon,

    You can certainly go into the users profile and take menu access away, including view menu options. This would pretty much take away their rights to even view other entities.

    Double Click on the User in the SalesLogix Administrator program. Go to the Function Security Tab, then double click on each function to shut it off. There will be an X by each function they are not able to access.

    Good Luck.
