    Table Association

Is there a way to change a table association without deleting the table?  We associated a custom table to an out of box table and created all the fields.  We applied the changes and then a day later realized that the association was wrong.  We would rather not have to delete the table and recreate it since we have many fields in the table.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We are using 7.5.1 with SQL server 2008.

    Hi,

I dont think this is possible, if it is it will be very risky - I would suggest you just drop the table and re-add it.

    Re: Table Association

I ran this past on of my programmers and this is the response that I received.

Well I have never tried but it should be possible. SLX does not keep any relationships at the database level but rather only within the table, the sectabledefs, resynctabledefs, and joindata tables. As long as all of these get updated correctly you should be able to do so.

    I hope this helps

You might want to post this on www.slxdeveloper.com site. They would be a bit more technical.
