Hi, I am trying to attach remote database. I have sxd file with me. On clicking attach button in attachremote.exe dialog box i am getting an error

 SalesLogix Attach Remote

 ---------------------------

 Unable to open the physical file "C:\AAZ\SLX_SHA#AAZ_dat.sxd". Operating system error 5: "5(Access is denied.)"

 --------------------------- OK ---------------------------"

Please advice on what has to be done

Rename Shaza's login name (in admin) to not contain a foreign character - I'm guessing this is what the # was ?

If you have User Account Control (UAC) enabled disable it and attach the database again.

Thank you for the reply. All the user login names contain # character. Problem is not with this because we tried installing remote DBs with this names.

UAC is a Windows Vista setting not SalesLogix, I'm assuming you are running Vista?

If so, on your pc got to - Control Panel\User Accounts and disable the 'User Access Control'
