    Renaming Syncerrors.txt

Hi All , This is Sujatha working as an SLX developer. The size of Syncerrors.txt in server is very big and taking so much time to open. So i wanted to rename it and create a new syncerrors.txt in syclogs folder. I dont know how far this will work. So please suggest me on this.

     Regards,

    sujatha

    Hi Sujatha,

This is fine, something we do all the time. However, if you are getting errors within the Syncerrors.txt you should really resolve them.

    Re: Renaming Syncerrors.txt

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for quick reply. So as a next step shall i copy this syncerrors.txt to other location and create a new syncerrors.txt.

With this there won't be any effect in the synchronization like if there are any errors, all these will be now logged in new syncerrors.txt right.

     Regards,

    Sujatha

    Re: Renaming Syncerrors.txt

As i said i have cut and copied the syncerrors.txt in some location. after that i created a new syncerrors.txt in synclogs folder. Now i ran sync server. But i didnt see any syncerror.txt created automatically.

Please clarify this as i am new to Saleslogix.

    Re: Renaming Syncerrors.txt

Its probably because you do not have any errors at this time. Also, you do not need to recreate it, the sync server will do this for you.
